Uninstall and Reinstall Windows Vista
I purchased Windows Vista in Feb. 2007. A couple of months ago it started
doing goofy things and Best Buy suggested that I uninstall and reinstall and
then get updates. I have backed up all my files. Question 1) After
reinstalling, which updates should I install? I saw several on the download
site. 2) Will I lose my printer hookup by doing this? Thanks.

Never, ever take any sort of computer advice from Best Buy sales staff
or a member of their Geek Squad - they're all hired for their lack of
knowledge and experience. (Otherwise they'd be able to get much better
paying jobs elsewhere.) That's a sure way to ruin a computer.

It would be far, far better for you to post your specific problems in
the pertinent newsgroup, and try the solutions offered.

Simply connect to Windows Update and install all of those that are
applicable to your specific situation.

Not physically, but you'd obviously have to reinstall the print drivers
and any associated software after reinstalling the OS.
