Create FileMappingError Error 5

Recently had Dell replace an XP based computer. Now vereytime I boot the
Vista Computer. I receive the above messages. Is tehre a way to eliminate
these from occurring?

I have a dell laptop with Vista home, and most times when a update is downloaded from Windows/Dell, I get a similar message - something like "Installer error 5". I tried to find a place where I could reinstall the installer last fall, but gave up. Yesterday I got another update from MS and it made the laptop slow to a crawl - I am thinking it did not get installed correctly. I used restore to go backward to yesterday and all works fine. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO REPAIR THE INSTALLER?
