About to install Vista 64, Questions

I just received my packages from Newegg today. I got Vista Ultimate with
the intent on running the 64 bit version.

See sig for current specs...

I am adding 2GD ram to the 2 I already have.

I'm replaycing 2 7900GTX cards with 2 8800GT cards.

I have an ASUS A8N 32 SLIx16 Deluxe
I'm running 2 WD 400GB HD in Raid 0. The raid controller is from the
MB, NVIDIA nforce 4.

Questions:

1) Should I go ahead and install the hardware under XP 32, Then install
Vista64, letting Vista find as many valid drivers as it can?

2)Should I download the Vista Drivers to XP prior to installing Vista.

3)Are there any drivers I need to update my MB. My BIOS version is
1205, very stable in XP.

Any other issues I should be looking at prior to installing?

Thx, Jeff

Hi Jeff,

The 64 bit version of Vista will have to use a Clean install.
Sometimes Vista will not install with more than 3GB of RAM installed.
You can add them back after Vista is installed however. I would make
sure that every device you have has a 64 bit Vista driver available for
it. A 32 bit driver will not work on the 64 bit Vista. I would also
make sure that you have the latest BIOS for your motherboard to help
prevent possible problems to.

Hope this helps,
Shawn
