Can't sync contacts, calendar or anything else

I have Outlook 2000 installed and it seems to be running fine. I can connect
my Toshiba e330 Pda through Mobile Device Center, but i cannot sync the Pda
to outlook. When I try to change content sync settings the box's won't accept
check marks! How do I make it work??
