Users Listed after Booting

All of the existing users are shown on the first screen after booting. Is
it possible to only show the ones I want and hide the others? Better yet,
can I get the old XP login screen that required one to input the name and
password? I think that is a much better security scheme than having all
defined users shown on the login screen.
