Confiure hardware RAID 1 after Vista install

Hi
I have installed Vista on a 500gb SATA disk and I now have another identical
500gb disk.
Can I configure hardware RAID 1 without having to reinstall Vista and all
other apps?

I was thinking along the lines.
Enable RAID 1 in BIOS, do not erase disks, boot off Vista install CD,
Select repair installation,
Add RAID drivers at appopriate screen.
complete installation.

Is this possible?

You will need to reinstall. Add your RAID drivers, image the system, then
enable RAID and restore the image to the array.
