Installed program fail

Hello,

I work for months with a FTP program, which runs fine.

Today, I launch the prog and get en error message : " ... does not appear to
have been installed correctly for the current user. (the prog) will exit."

My config didn't change (vista family premium + Norton Internet Protection)

I uninstalled and reinstall 3 times, but nothing does : At the end of
installation, there's the option to launch the program ... which launch and
works ok, but if I close it, I get that message above.

Vista proble panel informs that ther'es a compatibility problem but I didn't
update the prog (as it works and always did)

Any idea ?

vista does not like anything but new software..anything can happen with
something made before..your copy of vista was made

Yes, I know that Vista is a bit "sensitive" with old progs, but in that case,
it's a quite well known program ( WS_FTP 2007) ... and putting "2007" should
mean that this company know Vista (one never know).

The program always worked without problem on my Vista .. until yesterday.

So I don't know what could generate this message and stop suddenly the prog
from working (or being reinstalled so it work).

Curiously its said that the install is wrong for "this user". There's one
account user only. Could it be a problem of account manager ?

Since then, I installed other soft that runs fine.

Could it be a virus (in that case it had blocked other programs, no ?) ?
