Problem installing from booty

I have home xp now, I try to install vista ultimate 64-bits from boot and it
loads all files and after that there is just a vista background and the mouse
pointer, nothing happens.

Specs:
2 hds 1 sata 80gb-slave and 1 EIDE 80gb-master
Core2duo e6600
2gb ram 667
8800gtx
p5n-sli

take the IDE hard drive out use 1 x SATA and it should install ok use the IDE later as slave for pictures and files i use the same and have 4 x sata and had no problem sata drivers are on the CD

Explain EXACT way that you have tried to install!

Hi,

How long have you let it sit at this point? This stage, where installation
is finalized and the initial performance test is run, can take longer than
the rest of the stages combined. In addition, it will often appear that
nothing at all is happening, including very little drive activity and no
change in the screen.
