operating system
How do I find the window that allows me access to the operating system?
There are 3 on this computer, and I need to eliminate 2.

Thank you.

Re: operating system
start/computer shows all accessible partitions on which your operating
systems are installed. You can reformat them from there by right clicking.
If one contains the system files, you will be unable to delete or reformat
it until you move the system files.

Re: operating system
Vanessa - if the procedure recommended by John Barnes works - great.
However, if not, you need to provide more info - Does the computer boot?
Number HD/Partitions - what are the installed OSs (ME Vista, XP)? In what
order were they installed? Why were three installed (previous problems)? At
boot are you offered an option as to which OS to start? If not which OS
boots?

Re: operating system
In addition to what AJR asks for, the best format to help you would be to go
to drive management and list the specifics of any drives and partitions on
them. i.e. drive 0 partition 1 System, boot, primary Windows Me partition
2 primary XP Pro Drive 1 partition 1, primary Vista, etc Drive letters
can get confusing since they can be different from each OS, but you can
include them if you want.
