Please help me to recover from loss of MBR
Hi, In the beginning I had WinXP Pro SP2.

I next added Vista Home Premium in dual boot configuration.

Everything worked fine.

Using Norton Ghost I overwrote the Win XP Pro partition, with a cleaner
version.

When I rebooted I had lost the possibility to boot into Vista. Win XP Pro
booted up automatically.

I then placed the Vista DVD into the drive and repaired the installation.
When I rebooted Vista appeared automatically. I had lost the possibility to
boot into Win XP.

Please tell me what I have to do to be able to choose either XP or Vista to
boot into.

Many thanks

Roy Mayo.

Hi Roy,

You can add it using bcdedit, but most find it easier to simply use
VistaBootPro:

For bcdedit, see:
