Reinstalling Windows Vista Premium

Had Windows Vista Premimu installed but did not have 1Gig of memory. All is
okay but I coultn't run Windows Aero. Now I have 1.5Gig of memory and would
like to run windows areo.
Do I have to reinstall Windows Vista Premimu from the start or is there a
way to reinstall Windows Aero, without the hold installation?
I would appreciate your help.

You should not need to reinstall Vista to get Aero. At least try to have it
re-assess your computer:

Right click on 'computer', select 'properties', click on the link by your
'windows experience index' score under 'system'.
A new window will open. Under the blue numerical score on the right side,
click on the link "Update my score".

After that is complete, try right clicking on the desktop, selecting
personalize, click 'Windows color and appearance', and try to enable Windows
Aero.

If none of this works, then it is evident that your graphics card does not
support aero. What graphics card do you have? How much dedicated memory does
it have?

Hay thaks for the info: But it still won't work, and I have a 5.9 score
Desktop Perfomance for Windows Aero. It should work. I also have 1Gig for
mem. and an Ati Radeon X800 Pro Premium with 512m Mem. for graphics card.
Pentium 4 all checked out ok. But still no Areo. I really don't need it
but, it should be there. BTW I also using Windows Vista Premium. I 've read
on and see that alot of users are having the same problem. Maybe its in
Windows Program. But, I'll keep tring.
