i have direct x 10 but need 9c

trying to install tiger woods 08 on vista pc. but it tells me
"installation cannot continue because this game requires DirectX9.0c or
higher to be installed on your system."

i have direct x 10

how can i fix this problem

See if this helps (both copied and pasted from the EA tiger woods 08 forum)

from the readme file;
-The EULA for DirectX can appear blank on some PC configurations. IF this
problem occurs, please try entering
a command prompt and type in " autorun.exe DXInstalled " to bypass DirectX
installation.

Or, as I saw elsewhere, someone downloaded DX9 and installed it, only
installing files from dx9 that wasn't in dx10 (apparantley)

What make/model graphics card to you have? If your Graphics card does not
also support DX9 or DX10( as superset of DX9) then your game will not work.
