set security level back to the same as XP possible ????
Hi there peoples,

I am wondering if it is possible to get the security level in Vista back to
the same as in XP,because i am having problems accessing a website that runs
a java application with popup java windows, and the pop up windows always
stall after a few windows due to security settings in vista.

It was worse earlier, until i lowered the security in the internet
options, then i was able to access that website a couple of times, and then
the present problem (again). But since i lowered the security level
(individual settings),i have a persistent message at the top of every
browser window that says "your current security settings put your computer
at risk......." How do i get rid of that as well??

I am 100% sure that the problem of access to that website is due to security
settings as it will allow access when there are fewer popup windows at the
start.

Can anyone HELP ?

thanks in advance

Multiposted to vista.security and vista.performance_maintenance (and who
knows where else). Answered in vista.security. Do not multipost. If
needed, crosspost, but only to a select few appropriate groups.
