Upgrade CD use on another computer

I have a 3 year old HP XP Media Center desktop. I just recently purchased a
Toshiba XP Media Center laptop which came with a free upgrade certificate for
Home Premium. I tested my desktop and it will accept home premium Vista.
Can I use the Vista upgrade CD on my desktop instead of the laptop...the
price is right! Or, is the the CD different?

That upgrade version might only work on a Toshiba laptop - and it's a DVD,
not a CD, unless you ordered the 5CD set (Vista comes on one DVD or 5 CDs).
