Getting to the Identities Directory

I like to move my identites directory to a partition as we need to keep our
emails for reference for a few years.

I note on the new Vista that I cannot view or expand the Documents &
Settings Folder.

I need to do this so that I can redirect the registry to the old directory
on the partition, how can this be done if you can't touch the folder even as
an administrator.

Your help woudl be appreciated.
