Error code 0x80070241 when installing Basic

Whenever I get about 50% of the way through the first stage of installation,
an error code pops up (mentioned in title) and it says that a file may be
missing or corrupted. Then the install aborts. Anybody got any ideas as to
what may be causing this and how to fix it?

the same thing is happening to me
