How to Uninstall MS Backup Scheduler
I'm using Vista Advisor and it tells me I must uninstall "Backup Scheduler"
from "Microsoft" version "1.0.0.1." I can't install Vista until I uninstall
this!!! But I can't find any info on how to uninstall Microsoft Backup
Scheduler.

Appreciate any advice.

The advisor is just that, and it isn't always right. I don't know what
Microsoft Backup Scheduler is, though. Do you have a scheduled task set up
to run ntbackup? If so remove that task. Remove any 3rd party backup
programs, AV programs, system level utilities and any CD burning software
like Nero or Roxio that use drivers.

Backup your data, better yet image the XP installation to an external USB
drive in case there are problem. Then do the upgrade. If it doesn't work
out restore the image and do a custom install using Windows Easy Transfer
(WET) to migrate data and settings.
