Soundmax problem

Hi

My PC came with soundmax installed, I have upgraded from XP Home to Vista
Ultimate
but I have no sound with Windows telling me it cannot find a driver for the
sound hardware.

Is there a driver available for Soundmax v5.

Did you try the driver for XP?

Yes

it would not install, it said "wrong OS"

Did you check Windows Update site that is where it got my drivers for my
Soundmax sound chip.

I ran updates but I'm not sure I ran them all, there seems to be a number of
places in Vista that run updates, I did not run the "Windows Update" that I
used to in XP because I cannot find it.

It is in Start/All Programs.
