Hi Practical Student,
Simple: Boot into Vista and change the Boot Order to boot into the older
operating system first. Then you can delete the Vista operating system files
from XP, if possible. You may need to take ownership of the files. If you
can't, then you will need to reformat the partition or leave Vista alone and
don't use it.
