what an aweful experience. after 40+ minutes of waiting with little
progress info, all the time spent "verifying" and "installing" is
wasted. The installer tells me I have to first uninstall MS Web
application projects before installing the service pack! No
indication at all that I can resume the install ...
even uninstalling software is an adventure. uninstalling MS Web
application projects from VS is taking 10+ minutes. ( it has been
saying time remaining 9 seconds for the last 3 minutes ) As part of
the uninstall process the entire PC goes dark because an "unknown"
program from Microsoft is trying to access my system. Until I decide
to allow that program to access my system my PC is locked up - what if
I want to use the internet to research this unknown program from this
unknown company called "microsoft"?
