You are in WACKY land.
For some reason the final clean-up did not take place. Maybe a hard
shutdown on last boot.
Anyhow, make sure you aren't missing any files. If you are, dig them out of
Windows.old
When you are ready to dump that, use the Disk Cleanup Wizard and check that
option.
As for the menu, Within Vista open an elevated CMD prompt.
(Find the CMD in the start menu, right click and choose run as Admin)
use the BCDEDIT command. Not easy.
BCDEDIT /? for instructions.
