Checking Compatability

When I run the compatability tool on the DVD it says I am fine to upgrade.
However when I run the install it gets stuck on the checking compatability
stage. I'm running XP Media center edition upgrading to vista home premium.

I have 30 gigs free on the HD, 2 gigs ram, 256mb video card intel cetrino M
with 1.8 ghz.

Any idea what is going wrong
