Clean Install - how to retain old email and rules
I think I have outlined the files I need to backup from my current pc before
a clean install, but is there a MS guide to retaining outlook email
(accounts, rules, folders, etc...) when doing a clean install?

Re: Clean Install - how to retain old email and rules
Rhenson,

What version of Outlook? In a nutshell, the important things are the PST
file and the PAB files. Both are typically in your system's local profile.
If you have these, then you typically have all that you need.

Separate Outlook profiles (under the same or different login accounts) are
going to have seperate files for the most part so you may have to hunt under
multiple Windows profiles.
