windows mobile device center
Hi,
I am running Vista x86 RTM and Windows Mobile 5. WMDC is not starting up,
even though the computer recognizes the device as a windows remote mobile
adapter. After successfully getting another computer to recognize my device I
looked around on the problem machine and discovered an error in the event
log, 0x80070005 when windows 2003-based connectivity service is started. Any
help on how to resolve this error and let this service start successfully
would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

RE: windows mobile device center
Thanks Mack.

I tried the final release. I have made some progress though. Vista
recognizes my device and I am able to browse the device and the memory card
but that is about it. I can't just seem to get wmdc to recognize the device.
Also now, there are no error events and I don't know where to find the logs
for analysis.

I am very sure the problem is with my machine which was upgraded from XPSP2
to Vista Ultimate. (The device is recognized on another machine we tested.)
