Doesn't see a keyboard or mouse now.
Bought Vista (RC1) from MS and installed yesterday. It seemed to work fine
and shut down last night. Today after work I booted up and it does not
recognize a keyboard or mouse. Have switched both and rebooted with the same
result.

Any suggestions?

I can be contacted at lesdunham@hotmail.com or 586-216-4135. Thanks

Boot from windows live or linux live cd, see if you have mouse/keyboard
there...

You can go into BIOS?

Me too
I've got the same problem. I can use my keyboard at the bios level (change system bios settings) no problem, as well as being able to use the arrow keys to navigate the Vista boot selection. I cannot get Vista to see the attached keyboard (or another working one that I attach) once it boots. I have a mouse cursor in the middle of my screen and can't type. I can plug the cables into my other computer and it works fine, but Vista still doesn't see it. It's been running fine up until now (about 6 months). I just rebooted and it doesn't see the keyboard/mouse any more.

Hmmm...

I have the same problem. I am in the process of upgrading XP to Vista. The
keyboard of mouse does not work so I can not finish the install process. Its
stuck on the "Windows Setup" dialogue asking how I want to configure the
automatic windows updates? Very fustrating.

Subject says: Doesn't see a keyboard or mouse now.

THAT is "the exact same problem"?

>Has anyone resolved this?

I see my keyboard and mouse just fine. Can't you see yours?

It went through the installation process, but when it rebooted it came up to a screen saying windows set up and had three options. The cursor is in the middle of the screen and won't move. The keyboard works in bios, but not in this screen.
