After upgrade, could not see anything screen "Out of frequency"
I have Dell with an Radeon X600 with 256 Mb of RAM. I upgraded from Win XP
SP2 to Vista RTM. When it boot, I could not see anything and it would display
"out of frequency". This was very scarry as I could do nothing without seeing.
For a plug and play environment I was very disapointed to see this happen.
And I consider myself a pretty savy computer engineer.
The computer would reboot, but even pressing F8, it would not give me a menu.

I had numerous failed attempts to go into safe mode and change the
resolution to a low resolution, update the video driver and so on. At last, I
spoke to my MS friend and he pointed out that ATI has a beta driver. ALthough
he was skeptical that the Windows driver did not work, he suggested to try
downloading the beta.
vuala. I can now see.......
