A reboot did not resolve. I continue to have this message on the bottom
right corner of my desktop:
"Windows Vista (TM)
Build 6000
This copy of Windows is not genuine".
It appeared after Microsoft telephone validation provided the 9 sets of 6
numbers for validation.
