Re: Gateway Notebook Model MX6956 No audio after Vista Upgrage
Have you ever updated an operating system before? Unless a person is a rank
beginner they usually know that they have to get their "ducks in a row" by
tracking down the necessary hardware drivers prior to installing a new
operating system. Many also come here to ask "prior" to upgrading - just to
ask these pertinent questions.
Seeing as how Microsoft will include with Vista those drivers that
manufacturers submit to them, for testing and inclusion, you have a beef
with the hardware manufacturer. You can try to get a refund from Microsoft
but it is not really their problem. It is between you and the hardware
manufacturer. If they can not, or will not, resolve the problem - Vista can
not be used with your computer.
It's a harsh reality but it is the truth.
