Re: Dell Docking Station
I ended up using one of my TechNet support calls. (Chapped my butt to have
to do that, but it is what it is.) Anyway, the MS tech was very helpful, and
managed to dig deep enough into the Dell infrastructure to find the driver I
needed - and that DELL HAD ON HAND that would have resolved this for me, had
they only told me about it in the first place.
So, I once again have sound when docked. I'm still missing a number of
other things, but am slowly working through all that.
So far, I'm only lukewarm about the whole process, and wholeheartedly am NOT
for rolling out Vista company wide. My laptop is less responsive than it was
while on XP (and I'm not using a low-end laptop), and this whole driver
debacle is not something I want repeated over a fleet of 200 units.
