CreativeLabs - This is funny
I visited yesterday CreativeLabs (i.e. Soundblaster) web site to check driver
availability for my WebCam Instant camera.
In former visits driver availability was "TBA" (to be announced).
Now they say that there will be no development.
Funny thing is that I have that camera working flawlessly in Vista x64 rc2
with the available XP x64 drivers.
How do they not realze that it is possible to use the inf file (XP x64
drivers) successfully in Vista?
For those willing to give my idea a shot, do not install the drivers with
the exe file.
Expand the installation files and use the inf file.
Carlos

It is likely that they are unwilling to support vista officially for this
product (I have one too, and thx for the tip!). While it may be that it
works fine, there's no gurantee that it will work in all cases. Heck, from
just a Web Developers POV just the way Vista handles registering Active X
OCX types (as in doesn't seem to) is enough of a pain, can't imagin the pain
a hardware driver developer might go through.
