Yes, there is a lot of important information in the release notes.
I did notice that they that say the the drivers suport RC2 or higher.

It won't install in Vista x64 RTM Build 6000. I just tried it. There's
already a lot of discussion about this problem in the Nvidia NZone community
forum. Some people are getting around this by downloading and installing the
"International" version.

I thought the reason why this driver was delayed was because of the
extensive testing that was supposedly being performed.

Even modifying nv_disp.inf, the driver doesn't start (error 43) on a
geforce4 440, HP nx9105.
Design for the future, isn't it ?

It was, apparently, an OOPS! moment. Seems that nVidia accidentally
included information about the International fileset in the U.S. only
drivers. Downloading the International driver set will resolve the issue
and install the drivers you need.

I tried international version and US version.
None of them has GeForce4 capability. I have included
the part of nv_disp.inf file coming from XP driver, but it doesn't work.
The installation terminated ok, but the driver doesn't start (error 43).

... and still no full Control panel.. all this release does is suppress an
intermittent error from which Vista could recover anyway..
