Flip 3D speed on Nvidia FX5x00

Hello,

I known I already wrote about aero speed on somes AGP8X adapter.

I made test on somes Nvidia FX5x00 (5200 or 5600) graphics card
Vista run well, but the flip 3D effect are not very smooth (when we do
WINDOWS key-TAB, by example)

Using ATI Radeon 9550 (same generation cardà, flip 3D is far faster

Do you known why ?

ATI's drivers are a lot better than nVidia's at this point. For Direct3D
stuff ATIs are practically done. I can't even get my Tablet to wake from
sleep with nVidia's drivers. The only thing I really need from ATI at this
point is OpenGL support.

Of course you have to also realize that the 9550 has a much more powerfull
graphics processor than that in aa 5200 or 5700 so it would of couse run
smoother.

95x0/9600 ?

I suggest taking a look at Tom's Hardware. Those folks have run lots of
side by side comparisions like this.

Probably except for maybe some versions of the 6200, However, The current
7xxx generation of Nvidia boards is what I would consider instead of the
older 6xxx generation. And if you prefer the current X1xxx generation
boards would also be prferrable to the 9xxx generation
