Thank you for the response (and for the others, too).
I'm going to do a little more digging. According to their website, ASUS has
a P5GZ-MX motherboard that has both 64-bit and 32-bit Windows Vista Premium
certifications, and a bunch of others that are Windows Vista Ready (see link
below).
I'm confident that the Vista Ready motherboards (and many, many others) will
run with no issues, but I'm wondering if the Certified motherboards provide
additional functionality above and beyond the Ready ones. I'll follow up with
ASUS (good luck to me) and see if they can provide more details...
