Re: Unknown Device in Device Manager (both x86 and x64)
Robert,

It worked like a charm, and I also now have a new device, Microsoft
Compliant ACPI System under Device Manager System Devices.

Thank you very much.

DCR

|ACPI\AWY0001
|*AWY0001
|
|*That* unknown device I recognize -- it was in all the builds up toand
|including 5744 and I *think* it is in the RTM but I "upgraded" from 5744 to
|6000 after I had already "fixed" it.
|
|As far as I know, the error is harmless. If it annoys you, as it did me
|(lol), follow this link to the AMD forums:
|
|http://forums.amd.com/index.php?showtopic=80556
|
|and then download:|
|
|ftp://ftp.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/socke...xe/AMDLive.zip
|
|The (supposedly) harmless unknown device error will go away. I do *not*
|think AMD Live gets enabled. AMD (and ASUS) still have some developing to |
|do.
