Hauppauge WinTV PVR 150MCE on Vista?
Hauppauge shows Vista drivers for it on their site. Anyone using it yet? Is
it worth paying the extra bucks for the 500 to get 2 tuners? I have a TV in
the same room already, don't really need to record 2 things at once, and
will be going to DirecTV as soon as we move to a house, hopefully in the
next year.

Comments, suggestions?

Thanks,

TowerDave

Re: Hauppauge WinTV PVR 150MCE on Vista?
I have two of those products (150 version) inside of my computer, running
Windows Vista.
On my particular computer I had to put them in the first and second slot in
my mother board for them to work properly.
So that is something to look out for if you get one (or two) and have
problems with it.
They work great, and I can record 2 shows at once, or record 1 and watch
another.

I have had a 150 PVR running on Vista MC since early summer without
problem.. With the release of RC2 I was also able to run WinTV2K on vista
and can switch between it and MC at will.

JW and Gary,

Thanks for the info. I ordered my card today, should have it Tuesday. I'll
report back if I have any problems.

I got the MCE edition. I have Vista Ultimate so it should work fine with
Media Center.

Thanks again,

TowerDave

I would go for the 2 tuner option.. . i just love my 150... i want a 500
now.. i just setup XP MCE2005 on a friends computer from scratch and really
enjoy how nice it all works.. i first started playing with the MCE stuff
during the Vista beta... saw that it was incorporated into Vista Ultimate
and went out and pickedup a WinTV PVR150 to try it.. . now i really wish i
had the dual tuner

nVidia has beta drivers (both x86 and x64) for their Dual TV Tuner card.
