I have the same problem with my system even before upgrading it to Vista. As
mentioned in the blog post you linked to, the problem was caused by a
conflict between this hardware and ehtray.exe. So when I used the task
manager to end the ehtray.exe process, the screensaver worked fine. However,
with Vista this workaround no longer works.
It's frustrating to learn that Microsoft doesn't plan to provide a fix,
especially since they are both Microsoft branded products. I purchased them
only a short while before upgrading to Vista.
