Safely remove hardware on Vista
I have windows Vista home premium on my PC. My question is - Is it normal for
the screen to go black for a couple of seconds when "Safely remove hardware"
is opened and also when a device is stopped? Your advice would be appreciated.

RE: Safely remove hardware on Vista
I read somewhere that with Vista you should NOT use safely remove hardware.
Instead, from "Computer" you should right-click on the hardware to be
removed then click "Eject." You're done.

I had al sorts of problems when I was using Safely Remove Hardware. Eject
seems to work just fine.

I don't have an 'Eject' on the menu when I right click my external USB
drive. Only 'Safely Remove'.
