Hello,

Does anybody know how to repair a contact (the most annoying contact yet in
the 21st century) on a TV tuner? It worked about 2h once, why?!? The circuit
repaired itself?

Help. Pleeease. ||_||

Andy,

If you are referring to your posts on 6/1 (and I did reply to your first
post on 6/1), it's pretty clear that you have a defective tuner that needs
to be replaced with a new one. I'm not sure what you mean by repairing a
"contact"...it sounds like an English translation issue. But I'll take a
guess that you are asking how to repair your tuner. In general, there is no
repairing those things (there are exceptions...such as a loose solder joint
or dirty edge connector). You just have to get a new one and toss out the
bad one.

Regarding your question on why it would work for two hours...it's known as
an "infant failure". If an electronic device is going to fail, often it will
fail early on. Maybe the manufacturer's QA/testing process is not adaquate.
Or it was just "one of those things". That's life with electronics.
