All,
The problem with these type denunciations is that they lack credibility.
That is, they lack support to back up the charge. There are numerous
conditions that can cause an operating system to crash or otherwise
malfunction. They include 3rd party hardware and software (such as drivers)
that are incompatible with the operating system, and those conditions don't
include user errors. But guess who gets the blame?
One can understand why people make these sweeping judgments. The only thing
they see is Windows. Who can tell what's going on inside the computer
anyway? A good illustration of this concerns my wife who came to me the
other day complaining that Windows won't print. I asked, what do you mean?
She said, I clicked the print button repeatedly and all I get are these funny
responses with messages I don't understand! Bill Gates has done it again!!
I went to her computer prepared for a long troubleshooting session when I
noticed the printer was out of paper. That's the real world for ya.
