Old hard drive gone.

New drive with no os. I put Vista on it since the COA is that. have it set up as a secondary drive on my Win 7 pc. Need to make the drive bootable as it will be the primary on a Dell laptop. I've tried putting Dell drivers on the drive and run it form the secondary drive setting. Not working.
