i have a dsc-p200 camera from sony. on their website they say it is
compatible with vista and yet when i plug it in, it can't find drivers. there
are none on sonys website.

I founds a USB driver for your camera if that's any use:

when i try to install, it says "cannot install driver on this version of
windows.

you could try running it in XP compatability mode and see if that
installs the driver.
if that fails e-mail Sony and see what they suggest
