Burner not detected

I have a NEC-burner installed. Nero 7 can see it, and burn correct ,but
picture galleri and DVD movie maker in Vista can´t see the burner. The burner
is recognised during boot up and is present in My computer. How do I fix this
issue.

The last one may be most relevant.

If in doubt check settings, options and properties in the programme in case
adding a drive is not automatic.
