Not detecting a HDD
I was restarting my desktop after it got stuck in a frozen screen. Upon
reboot it loaded up with a blank screen. In hindsight I think I might
have restarted during an install of a windows update, which could have
ended up screwing the main configuration of the comp. I decided to go
for a wipe of the hard drive (had a fresh backup) and re-install. Yet I
have no C: listed
The HDD is fine (No weird noises.), it makes a healthy spooling up sound
on startup, but thats it. Its just on a year old, 500 GB Seagate, it is
not SATA drive so there shouldnt be any drivers needed.
Is there an obvious fix for this problem? From looking on the net I
would imagine that I would have to play around with my BIOS settings,
I'll admit that I would be out of my league and would probably
accidently blow my computer up. If I need to do it I might need a
straightforward set of instructions.
Thanks in advance,
