I hope this is the right section- winload.exe error on laptop
My laptop is fairly new (got it in May) and it came preloaded with Vista
Home. Last night, I was on the computer when it froze up. The ONLY thing
I did the moment before the blue screen of death appeared was I had got
an Apple software update thing and I declined to install it at that
moment. (nothing unusual) I don't know if it has anything to do with my
problem but other than that, I wasn't doing anything out of the norm.. I
hadn't even gone to a strange website.
Now, when I turn the computer on, I get this:
_____________________________________
Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be
the cause. To fix the problem:
1. Insert your windows installation disc and restart your computer. (I
did this and got loading files screen but then it went black. Nothing.)
2. Choose language settings, the click "next".
3. Click "repair your computer."
If you do not have this disc, contact your system admin or computer
manufacturer for assistance.
File: \windows\systems32\winload.exe
Status: 0xc000000f
Info: The selected entry could not be loaded because the application is
missing or corrupt.

Also, I attempted to find help in forums online but most of them talk
about someone was installing something or upgrading windows software
when it happened... and also something about a PS2 usb or keyboard fix
which I don't have. Just this laptop!
Thanks in advance for your help!
