iTunes took over autoplay
I've searched for help with this specific problem but have found none. I
installed iTunes sometime ago to rip CDs, and really regret it. It took
over the autoplay for when an audio CD is inserted, and the system
completely ignores what I have set for the handler (Windows Media
Player). So today I finally got around to just completely uninstalling
iTunes, and it didn't fix the problem. Now the same thing happens,
except when I double click on the CD drive icon instead of launching
iTunes I get the message "Windows cannot access the specified device,
path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access
the item." Where is the registry entry buried that is causing this?
By the way, I hate iTunes. I never should have installed that. I don't
know why people like it.
