Wireless mouses and keyboards - BIG TIP.
Do you own a wireless keyboard or mouse? Some people might experience that they cannot connect their keyboard or mouse to their USB Receivers.
I have a solution, and it doesn't require changing the batteries.
NOTE: If You have a set that includes both mouse and keyboard, read both paragraphs.
FOR KEYBOARD
1. On the receiver (it is a thing that connects by USB port) press the button, and then at the same time press the button which is on your keyboard. If you are using Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop 700, you'll see the light on the receivers blink at the same rate. This might be the same on other models.
2. Test your keyboard, press the Windows Logo.
If it doesn't work repeat step one.
MOUSE
1. Check if the optical red light is on under the mouse, if it is not, wake it up (Most manufacturers do this by clicking the mouse)
2. On the receiver (it is a thing that connects by USB port) press the button, and then at the same time press the button which is on the bottom of your mouse. If you are using Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop 700, you'll see the light on the receivers blink at the same rate. This might be the same on other models.
3. Test It by moving the mouse.

If it doesn't work fully, make sure you have the driver installed correctly. Some keyboards and mouse don't require a driver (For Example, Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop 700).
If it did come with software, uninstall the software, and go to device manager to make sure the receiver isn't there, and if it is there, uninstall it.
If it didn't come with software, just go to device manager and uninstall it.

After that, if your keyboard or mouse did come with software, install it.
If it didn't, simply connect the receiver and wait for drivers to be installed.

MAKE SURE that you don't place the receiver near the computer itself, monitors, and other radio devices, (UNLESS YOU HAVE A USB DRIVE LIKE RECEIVER) Some receivers are the size of a mouse, and a long USB cable comes out of it.
hopes this HELPS!
