cd/dvd cannot start error 10 device manager

have 2 new machines running vista. both machines lost their cd/dvd drives
after installing Norton 360 anti virus. Device manager error 10. Have tried
to delete drivers but driver keeps comming back even though device will not
start.

I would uninstall Norton. Otherwise, try Method 1:
