All Problems in microphone

I have Headset Microphone,first (When i Run Microsofts Speech Recognition it
will works and hear me...).Then, when i shutdown and log on to my computer, i
run speech recongtion again and Microphone will not hear me...I will try
troubleshot.It will not works..I will try run Sound recorder and microphone
will not hear me again.It will not muted and connected correct.Where
problem?My headsets microphones company is Trust...

It will works on XP fine(and first time in Vista)and its how crashed

Have you selected the right micro (back panel connector / front panel
connector) ?
Check it : control panel, sound
