Vista HP64 doesn't find sound or TV cards
I have a clean install of Vista Home Premium 64bit version that doesn't seem
to recognize anything in my PCI slots. I'm trying to install a Soundblaster
x-fi extreme, and a theatre 550 pro tv card. For the tv card, after install
of downloaded drivers for Vista 64, I get no further than media center
stating no tv device detected. For the sound card... under manage audia
devices, no audio device installed; during driver install, no supported
device detected. I've tried removing then replacing the cards, no change,
also no "new hardware found" message. What I have also tried is swapping out
the HD and loading XP; it finds everything just fine (those little yellow
questionmarks for device is here but no driver installed). Hope this wasn't
too long.

RE: Vista HP64 doesn't find sound or TV cards
And my question was, what can I/should I do next?

You will need to get 64-bit drivers for your devices from the manufacturers.

Re: Vista HP64 doesn't find sound or TV cards
I believe I mentioned that I HAD 64-bit drivers in my first post. So now what?

Re: Vista HP64 doesn't find sound or TV cards
Go to Windows update and select 'custom' not Express; a hardware drive
called ATI streaming something or other should be suggested for your 550
card [I have a Sapphire Theatrix 550]. If not, go to the AMD/ATI site and
look for the4 driver there.
