WD Passport External HD not showing up in My Computer

I am trying to use my External HD (WD Passport), I have used it with
this computer before (Vista) and it worked fine. It takes a couple
minutes to install teh driver files and then it says its working fine,
but does not show up in My Computer. The safely remove hardware icon is
still there. I checked device manager and it is there, saying it is
working properly. How do I access my files? What is wrong with either
my computer or HD? I have almost everything on the HD, so I am hoping
it is a simple fix.

Any help would be great!
